Simple One Pot Savoury Rice

Ingredients

Rice 3 gou (450g)
Water 600ml
Soy sauce 50ml
Mirin 50ml
Sake 50ml
Lotus root 1 piece
Carrot 1
Asparagus 3-4
Tinned tuna (in sunflower oil) 1
Dashi stock granules 1 tsp

Method

Wash the rice and soak in the water. Add the soy sauce, mirin, sake and dashi stock granules.

Finely chop the vegetables. I used lotus root, carrot and asparagus this time but mushrooms would also be nice.

Place the vegetables and tuna on top of the rice and switch the rice cooker on. Cook as usual.

When the rice is ready, mix all the ingredients together before serving.
