Ingredients

Tinned butterbeans 1 (400g)
【A】Soy and oyster sauce
Sesame oil 1/2 tbsp
Soy sauce 1.5 tbsp
Oyster sauce 1/2 tbsp
Sake 1 tbsp
Chilli 1
【B】Herb & Garlic
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Garlic 1 clove
Thyme or rosemary 1 sprig
Salt & pepper a little
【C】Curry
Vegetable oil 1/2 tbsp
Curry powder 1 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
【D】Maple Syrup
Walnuts or pecan nuts 1 tbsp
Maple syrup 2 tbsp

Method

Make simple foil containers and add the drained butterbeans equally.

【A】Pour in the sesame oil and grill for 10 minutes then mix with all the other ingredients.

【B】Smash the garlic and add to the butterbeans and other ingredients and grill for 10 minutes.

【C】Add all the ingredients to the butterbeans and grill for 10 minutes.

【D】Pour in the maple syrup and grill the butterbeans for 5 minutes....

...remove the container, add the nuts and grill again for 5 minutes.

These are the butterbeans. They are also known as lima beans.

In large supermarkets, you can find tins or cartons. There are many varieties. Buy the cooked ones to save time.

Tips & Note

●Grill all the four kinds together.【D】is the only one you need to remove after 5 minutes before adding the nuts and grilling again. It doesn't affect the other kinds if you do this with all of them.
