Minced Beef Cutlets with Beetroot and Watercress

You can eat vegetables with the meat in this dish.

Ingredients

Minced beef 400g
Watercress 1 pack (75g)
Beetroot 2
Egg 1
Salt 1 tsp
Black pepper 1 tsp
【A】
Breadcrumbs 50g
Milk 100ml
【B】
Plain flour as required
Eggs 1-2
Breadcrumbs as required
Vegetable oil for frying as required
Horseradish sauce as required
Brown sauce as required

Method

Put the minced beef, watercress, beetroot, egg, black pepper and the ingredients for A (soak the breadcrumbs in the milk) in a bowl.

Mix well until it gets sticky.

Divide into 8 oval pieces.

Dredge with the flour and dip in beaten egg before coating with the breadcrumbs. Deep fry in hot oil 170C.

Transfer to a dish and add the horseradish sauce or brown sauce on the side.

The beetroot is sold in packs like this.

Tips & Note

●When chopping beetroot, it's a good idea to do this on a baking sheet to stop the red colour running into the chopping board.
●Use your favourite sauce like Worcester sauce, ketchup or mayonnaise.
