Hand Prepared Korean Salad (Choregi)

When I buy a large lettuce, I always use half to make this salad. It goes well with a BBQ or a hamburger steak or tonkatsu.

Ingredients

Lettuce (large) 1/2
Carrot (medium) 1/3
Sesame oil 2 tbsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Oyster sauce 1/2 tsp
Garlic (grated) 1/3 tsp
Crushed sesame seeds as required

Method

Here are the ingredients.

Wash the lettuce and rip to shreds. Pat dry with kitchen paper. Finely cut the carrot into strips.

Mix the sesame oil, salt, oyster sauce, grated garlic and crushed sesame seeds in a bowl.

Combine the lettuce and carrots in a serving dish and pour in the dressing from Step 3. Mix by hand and then serve.

Tips & Note

Make sure to drain and pat dry the lettuce well. Mix the dressing into the salad by hand to coat everything well and evenly.
