Simple Pan Fried Mackerel

Ingredients

Mackerel fillets 2
Vegetable oil 1 tbsp

Method

Sprinkle the mackerel fillets with salt then cut in half. Put the oil in a frying pan and add the mackerel skin side down. Fry for 2-3 minutes.

When it's nicely browned, turn it over.

Put the lid on and fry for 5 minutes on medium heat.

Remove the lid and turn over again and fry for 1 minute. It's now ready.

Tips & Note

You can grill mackerel, but it's much simpler, tastier and quicker in a frying pan.
