Smoked Mackerel and Egg Sauce

I used smoked mackerel this time to make this sauce to go with rice. Mackerel in itself is very delicious.

Recipe By: KMR-type-B (https://cookbuzz.com/kitchen/47)
Serves 2

Ingredients

Smoked mackerel 1/2 pack
◇Egg 1
◇Dashi stock granules 1 tsp
◇Mirin 2 tbsp
◇White wine 3 tbsp
◇Soy sauce 3 tbsp
◇Sesame oil 1 tbsp
Green pepper 1/4
Carrot (medium) 1/2
Onion (large) 1/2
Chilli powder as you like

Method

1
Slice all the vegetables thinly and cut the mackerel into bitesize pieces.
2
Put the sesame oil in a frying pan and fry the vegetables on medium heat. When softened, add the mackerel.
3
Add the soy sauce, mirin, white wine and dashi granules.
4
Simmer for 2-3 minutes, then pour over the beaten egg. Put the lid on and steam fry for 1 minute.
5
Transfer onto some cooked rice in a bowl if you like and sprinkle with chilli powder.

Tips & Note

The mackerel can break easily so don't stir once you add it to the frying pan. It's already smoked and cooked, so you only need a few minutes in the pan.
