Serves 3 Prep: 15 min Cook: 20 min

Ingredients

Savoy cabbage leaves 4-5
A
Spring onions 6
Minced beef 120g
Garlic 3 cloves
Soy sauce 1 tbsp
Potato starch or cornflour 1 tbsp
Salt & pepper as required
Dashi stock 300ml
Sesame oil a little
Lemon soy sauce as required

Method

1
Hollow out the centre core of the cabbage. Put the cabbage into a large bowl and pour boiling water to cover. Leave for a while.
2
The leaves should now come off easily.
3
Finely chop the spring onions and garlic and mix together with all the ingredients for A.
4
Put some of Step 3 into the cabbage leaves and roll up.
5
Put some sesame oil into the dashi broth and place Step 4 into the broth. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
6
Transfer to a serving dish and drizzle over with more sesame soil for flavour. Serve with the lemon soy sauce on the side.

Tips & Note

●It's easier to roll up the cabbage leaves once you remove the centre core which is hard.
●You need enough dashi broth to just cover the cabbage rolls.
