Super Delicious Polish Bacon and Cabbage Miso Soup

This is a lovely miso soup that really delivers umami!

Ingredients

Morliny Polish bacon 60g
Pointed cabbage leaves 5
Hot water 600ml
Dashi stock granules 1/2 tsp
Miso 35-40g

Method

This is the Morliny Polish bacon from Tesco, it's very tasty. You can use pointed or sweetheart cabbage.

Slice the bacon into about 2mm pieces and remove the hard skin, then cut into bitesize pieces. Stir fry for 3-5 minutes on high heat (no oil) to melt the fat.

When the bacon is cooked and has shrunk, add the chopped cabbage and mix. There should be enough oil from the bacon.

When the cabbage has softened, add the hot water and dashi stock and boil for 3 minutes. Turn the heat down to low and dissolve in the miso - your tasty soup is ready!
