Beef & Cucumber Stir Fry Chinese Style

Goes well with a beer. It's healthy and uses no oil.

Ingredients

Beef sirloin steak 400g
Sake 2 tbsp
Cucumber 1
Sauce:
Light soy sauce 3 tbsp
Sugar 2 tbsp
Vinegar 2 tbsp
Chilli oil 1 tsp
Spring onions as required

Method

Cut the cucumber in half, remove the centre core, then cut into large chunks.

Finely slice the beef against the grain.

Put the sake in boiling water, add the beef and cook for 20 seconds. Remove to a plate.

Make the sauce by combining the ingredients in a large bowl. Add Steps 1 & 3 and mix. Steep for a while before transferring to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped spring onions and some chilli oil (if you like).

Tips & Note

●Don't overcook the beef - as soon as it changes colour in the water, remove it
