Serves 2 Prep: 5 min Cook: 5 min

Ingredients

Chinese leaves bunch 1/2
Apple (red skinned) 1
Sesame oil 2 tbsp
Garlic 2 cloves
Sushi vinegar 2 tbsp
Pepper (optional) as you like

Method

1
Chop the Chinese leaves into strips across and put in a bowl.
2
Cut the apple into quarters and remove the core and thinly slice. Soak in lightly salted water to stop them going brown. Then add into Step 1.
3
Add the sushi vinegar and lightly mix.
4
Put the sesame oil in a frying pan on low heat and add the sliced garlic.
5
When you can smell the garlic and it's browned slightly, add this with the oil to Step 3.
6
Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle salt and pepper if you like.

Tips & Note

●You should hear a lovely sizzle when you pour in the hot oil at Step 5, so use a heatproof bowl.
