Recipe By: Purihirunesan (https://cookbuzz.com/kitchen/56)
Serves 2 Prep: 5 min Cook: 15 min

Ingredients

Mackerel fillets 2-3
Flour as required
Wholegrain mustard 1 tbsp
Honey 1 tbsp
Soy sauce 1/2 tbsp
Salt a pinch

Method

1
Put 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a frying pan.
2
When it's hot, add the flour-dusted mackerel, skin side down.
3
Fry for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy. Don't touch it. In the meantime, mix the sauce.
4
When the edges of the mackerel changes colour, that's the time to turn them over.
5
Turn them over. It's almost cooked, so fry for only 2 minutes on this side.
6
Add the sauce and turn to medium low. Shake the frying pan to coat the mackerel with the sauce.
7
The sauce becomes nice and sticky quickly, so turn off the heat and transfer the mackerel onto a dish and pour over the sauce. Delicious!

Tips & Note

【Fishmonger tips】
●It's not hot with the mustard at all so ideal for kids.
●If you prefer the fishmonger to fillet the fish, you can ask「Could you fillet it (them), please?」.
