Japanese pickled cucumber | 1/3 |
Cleaned squid | 1 |
Okra | 4 |
Pickled plums (umeboshi) | as required |
Cooked rice | enough for 4 |
Dashi soy sauce | as required |
Soft boiled quail eggs or boiled hen's eggs | 2 |
Green laver | as required |
If you can't get dashi soy sauce, you can use ordinary soy sauce. But it's actually very easy to make your own dashi soy sauce if you have dashi powder. Add 2 packs into 200ml ordinary soy sauce, mix and leave it for half a day. Keep in a cool place.
