Sweet Sticky Rice Cakes (Goheimochi)

I suddenly fancied eating this so I made it with all the ingredients to hand as I couldn't wait...

Recipe By: Purihirunesan (https://cookbuzz.com/kitchen/56)
Serves 2

Ingredients

Enough ingredients for 2 people but I was greedy
Cooked rice for 2 rice balls
Soy sauce 2 tbsp
Maple syrup 2 tbsp
Peanut butter 1 tbsp

Method

1
Put the cooked rice in a plastic ziploc bag and mash with your fist.
2
It's probably safer to use a heavy-duty bag like ziploc. Leave some of the rice as it is.
3
Make flat round cakes. Put some oil in a frying pan and fry until crispy.
4
Mix the soy sauce, maple syrup and peanut butter together in a bowl and pour over the rice cakes to coat thoroughly.

Tips & Note

This is a traditional Japanese sweet - enjoy!
