Fried Noodle Pasta

Cook spaghetti with bicarbonate of soda to make ramen noodles - fry these to get a lovely yaki soba dish and serve with a delicious sauce!

Ingredients

Spaghetti 200g
Bicarbonate of soda 1 tbsp
Salt for the pasta as required
Chicken breast fillet 150g
Peppers (red and green) 1/3 each
Mushrooms 5
Carrot 1/2
Onion 1/2
Salt & pepper as required
Sauce:
Worcester sauce 4 tbsp
Oyster sauce 4 tbsp
Chicken stock granules 1 tbsp
Green laver as you like

Method

Cook the pasta in salted water. Turn the heat off, then add the bicarbonate of soda. Put the heat back on low and cook for a further 2 minutes.

Here are the ingredients. Cut the vegetables into manageable slices. Season the chopped chicken with the salt & pepper.

Put 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken for 2 minutes.

Add the carrot, pepper, onion and mushrooms. Season with salt & pepper and fry.

Wash the cooked pasta under running water to remove the smell of the soda. Drain well and add into the frying pan and combine.

Add all the sauce ingredients and fry, mixing well. Transfer to a serving dish.

Sprinkle with the green laver to garnish.

Tips & Note

This makes a standard sauce but you can adjust the Worcester sauce and oyster sauce as you prefer.
