Spaghetti 100g
Hot water 1.5 litres
Salt 1 tbsp
Bicarbonate of soda 1 tbsp
Pork stock cube 1
Hot water for soup 350ml
Toppings as you like

Method

Add the salt to the boiling water, Turn the heat off and add the bicarbonate of soda - be careful it doesn't overflow.

Turn the heat on and add the spaghetti, cooking it on low heat for 2 minutes longer than usual.

Add the pork stock cube to the hot water and allow to dissolve.

Drain the pasta and wash under running water to remove any smell of the soda.

Return the pasta to the pan and pour in the soup. Use your favourite toppings.

Tips & Note

●I really fancied a pork stock soup with these home-made ramen noodles.
●Adding just a simple stock makes it a salt-based pork soup, but you can add soy sauce or miso. Have a look at my seafood flavour version!
