Ingredients

Rice 3 gou (450g)
Tinned sardines in oil 1
Butter 30g
Soy sauce 3 tbsp
Mirin 2 tbsp
Ginger 1 thumb
Spring onions 6

Method

1
Wash and rinse the rice. Keep in the colander for 30 minutes. Put in the rice cooker with enough water for 3 gou.
2
Finely chop the spring onions and ginger. Cut the butter into small dice.
3
Put the sardines, butter, soy sauce, mirin and ginger on top of the rice in the rice cooker and mix well, breaking the sardines as you do. Put the lid on and switch on the cooker.
4
When it's cooked, add the spring onions and mix well. Put the lid back on and steam cook while switched off for 10 minutes.

Tips & Note

●The butter in small dice helps the flavour to reach all the parts of the rice, it also melts down easily
