Smoked Mackerel Handroll Sushi (Temaki)

Easy peasy, anyone can make this and enjoy it!

Recipe By: Yukari Elliott (https://cookbuzz.com/kitchen/31)
Prep: 10 min Cook: 5 min

Ingredients

Smoked mackerel fillets 6 (300g)
Nori sheets (1/2 size) 6
Chives 1/2-1 pack (25g)
Wasabi as required

Method

1
Make sushi rice and mix with finely chopped chives.
2
Place the half size nori sheet and place 1/6 of the sushi rice on the left half in a triangle shape.
3
Place the smoked mackerel diagonally across the rice and a touch of wasabi on the side of the fish.
4
Fold over the left side of the nori sheet into the centre to start creating a cone shape.
5
Fold over the nori sheet from the right side to firmly enclose the rice and fish. It's ready to eat immediately.
6
This is the mackerel I used this time.

Tips & Note

●Trim the mackerel to 8-10cm long and 1cm wide pieces to fit neatly.
●It's a key point how you start placing the rice. This way I've shown is failsafe even for beginners.
●You can use chopped dill instead of chives if you like, this gives a more Western taste.
