Pan Fried Tofu Wrapped in Nori (Isobe-yaki)

Ideal for kids snacking between meals.

Ingredients

Firm tofu 1
Nori sheet 1/2
Rice flour for dumplings as required
Potato starch as required
Butter 20g
Light soy sauce as required

Method

Cook the firm tofu in salted hot water for 3 minutes, remove then pat dry.

Mix the rice flour and potato starch at 3:1 ratio, then add water to make it sticky.

Slice the tofu 1.5cm thick and dredge with some potato starch, then coat in Step 2.

Add some vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the tofu on medium high heat. Add the butter just before you turn off the heat.

Wrap the tofu with the nori sheet. Dip into the soy sauce and enjoy.
