Mussels Fried Chinese Style

A typical recipe using clams usually, but just as delicious with mussels.

Ingredients

Mussels 1 pack
Sunflower oil 1 tbsp
Ginger 1 thumb
Garlic 1 clove
Spring onions 2-3
Sake 3 tbsp
Soy sauce 2 tbsp

Method

Put the oil in a pan on high heat and add the fine strips of ginger and finely chopped garlic and roughly chopped spring onions (white part) and fry.

Add the mussels and mix well. Add the sake and put the lid on.

Shake the pan occasionally and heat for 5-6 minutes.

Remove the lid and check all miussels are open. Add the finely chopped green part of the spring onions and mix well.

Adjust for seasoning with salt & pepper before serving.

Tips & Note

●You can add 1 tsp Chinese chilli bean sauce or a deseeded green chilli at Step 1 if you like it hot
