Gyoza Dumplings Tom Yum Style

Ingredients

Minced pork 200g
Gyoza wrappers 1 pack
Celery 1
Coriander stalks 3
Shallots or small onions 3
Tom yum paste (shop bought) 1/2-1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Sauce:
Fish sauce (nam pla) 2 tbsp
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Coriander leaves as required
Chilli powder as required

Method

Remove the fibres from the celery and roughly chop. Finely chop the shallots and coriander stalks.

Mix all the sauce ingredients together in a bowl.

Knead the mince pork and add the sugar and tom yum paste and knead again.

Add the vegetables from Step 1 and mix well. Keep in the fridge for a while.

Take scoops of the mixture and wrap in the gyoza wrappers. Boil some water in a pan and boil the gyoza dumplings until they float.

Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with coriander leaves. Pour over the sauce and enjoy while hot.

Tips & Note

●If you have time at Step 3 keep in the fridge for 30 minutes, so all the flavours are absorbed into the meat.
