Mixed Spice Lamb Burgers

The ingredient list is quite long, but it's simple to make these succulent spicy burgers, they also work well on a BBQ.

Ingredients

Minced lamb 200-240g
Onion (finely chopped) 1/2
Parsley (finely chopped) a little
Breadcrumbs 3 heaped tbsp
Milk 2 tbsp
Egg (medium) 1
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Paprika 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon powder 1/4 tsp
Nutmeg a pinch
Garlic powder 1 tsp
Burger buns 2
Lettuce, tomato, gherkins as required
Your favourite sauce (ketchup or brown sauce) as required
Flour, white wine, olive oil a little

Method

Put the breadcrumbs and milk into a large bowl. Add all the other burger ingredients (listed before the burger buns). Rub together by hand until sticky.

Divide into two and make a flat oval with a hollow pressed in the centre. Lightly dredge with flour and remove any excess.

Put the olive oil in a frying pan and fry both side of the burgers until nicely browned.

Pour in the wine, put the lid on and turn down to low. Steam cook until clear juices run out.

In the meantime, prepare the salad vegetables and lightly toast the buns.

Make up burgers with the salad and sauce to your taste.

Tips & Note

There is no hot or spicy ingredient, so kids will love this. Add spices for the grown ups!
