Serves 2 Prep: 10 min Cook: 10 min

Ingredients

Steak beef 150-200g
Celery 2
Red pepper 1/2
Spring onions 3
Soy sauce 1 tsp
Sesame oil 1 tsp
Rice wine 1 tsp
Cornflour (potato starch) 1 tsp
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Pepper 2 pinches
Soy sauce 1 tbsp
Sugar (or mirin) 1 tbsp
Sesame oil 1 tsp

Method

1
Shred the beef into strips and put in a bowl. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil and potato starch and rub in well by hands. Shred all the vegetables.
2
Put the oil in a large frying pan and fry the beef to about 80% then remove to a plate.
3
Add more oil to the same frying pan and add the celery and salt and fry for 2 minutes. The salt will help the celery steam cook in its own moisture.
4
Add the red pepper and stir for 1 minute on high heat, then add the spring onions and stir fry for another minute. Return the beef from Step 2 to the pan and sprinkle with the black pepper.
5
Finish by adding the soy sauce, sugar (or mirin) and the sesame oil for aroma, stir well and serve!
