Choi Sum Namul (Korean Vegetable Side Dish)

Ingredients

Choi sum bunch 1
Salt 1 tsp
Vegetable oil 1 tsp
●Sesame oil 1 tbsp
●Soy sauce 1 tbsp
●Sugar 1 tbsp
●Salt 1/2 tsp
●Garlic (grated) 1 tbsp
●Sesame seeds 1 tbsp
●Spring onion 1

Method

Cut the choi sum to 5cm lengths. Add salt and vegetable oil to some boiling water then drop in the choi sum stems and boil for 2 minutes. Add the leaves and cook for 1 minute, then remove and wash under cold running water.

Put all the ●seasonings in a bowl and mix well. Pinch and twist the sesame seeds with your fingers to release the aroma of sesame.

Squeeze the choi sum well and mix with Step 2 before serving.
