Mooli with Sweet Miso Paste (Furofuki Daikon)

Ingredients

Mooli (medium) 1
Water 500ml
Dashi stock 500ml
Soy sauce 1 tsp
Sake 1 tbsp
Miso soup paste (with dashi) 1
Golden syrup 2 tsp

Method

Peel the mooli and cut into 2cm slices. Cook for 20 minutes in hot water.

Pour the dashi stock in another pan and add the soy sauce, sake and mooli from Step 1 and simmer until soft (about 20 minutes).

In the meantime, make sweet miso sauce by mixing the miso soup well with the golden syrup in a bowl.

Pour the sweet miso sauce onto the boiled mooli. Enjoy!

Tips & Note

● If you want a thicker sauce, heat the dashi stock for a bit longer
