Beef & Vegetable Miso Stir Fry

Just chop, fry and mix, using any meat you like - it's not too hot or sweet and goes well with cooked rice.

Ingredients

Beef 200g
Your favourite vegetables double the amount of meat
Miso 2 tbsp
Mirin 2 tbsp
Soy sauce 1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Dried chilli 1
Garlic 1 clove

Method

Shred the beef to 5mm strips. You can use any cut such as steak or casserole or shoulder. Cut the vegetables to bitesize pieces.

Put the oil in a frying pan and add the chopped garlic on high heat. Add the beef and brown it then add the vegetables.

In the meantime, make the sauce: chop the dried chilli (keep the seeds if you like it hot) and add to the miso, mirin, soy sauce and sugar.

When the vegetables have softened, add the sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Tips & Note

Add your favourite vegetables such as onion, green beans, mushrooms, baby sweetcorn, peppers, cabbage, aubergine, carrots, etc.
