Red Cabbage Wrapped in Bacon

The crunch of the cabbage tastes really good with the salty bacon.

Ingredients

Bacon rashers 4
Purple cabbage 100g
Butter 1 tbsp
Mayonnaise 1 tbsp
Wholegrain mustard 1 tbsp
Ketchup 1 tbsp
White wine 2 tbsp

Method

Cut the cabbage into fine strips. Wrap a few with the bacon rashers.

Put the butter in a frying pan and fry the rolls on a high heat, placing the ends of the bacon rashers at the bottom to seal. Turn down to medium heat when nicely browned.

Put the lid on and steam fry. Transfer to a serving dish.

Add the wine, mayonnaise, ketchup and wholegrain mustard and mix. Turn off the heat when it starts to boil.

Pour the sauce over Step 3 before serving.

Tips & Note

●The cabbage needs to be covered with a lid or foil so that it softens
