Curried Mince Rice Sandwich (Onigirazu)

I made this rice sandwich using home made mince curry from a friend. It must be good!

Recipe By: Tobuchan (https://cookbuzz.com/kitchen/25)
Serves 1 Prep: 4 min Cook: 8 min

Ingredients

Cooked rice 120g
Basil leaves 6
Ketchup 1 tsp
Nori sheet 1
Any curry 2-3 tbsp

Method

1
I used some mince curry with green peas made by my friend (is this cheating?).
2
Put some cling film on a cutting board and lay the nori sheet in a diamond shape on top.
3
Place 60g rice in the centre and spread out to a flat round. Top with 2-3 tbsp mince curry and spread evenly.
4
Add the ketchup on top.
5
Cover with the basil.
6
Top with the remaining rice to cover.
7
Fold the top and bottom corners of the nori with the cling film and overlap in the centre. Press firmly.
8
Fold in the left and right corners of the nori sheet with cling film and overlap in the centre, pressing firmly.
9
When the nori has softened, cut in half with a sharp wet knife.
10
Remove the cling film and serve.

Tips & Note

●Use more rice if your curry ingredient is not that bulky
●Make a curry for dinner and use anyleftover in this rice sandwich. It will be delicious in a lunchbox.
