Leek Gratin

Easy but delicious, try this Japanese style twist.

Ingredients

Leek 1 (150g)
Ham slices 2 (20g)
Mozzarella cheese 30g
Parmigiano reggiano as required
Breadcrumbs as required
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Dashi stock 100ml
Sake 1 tsp
Salt 1/3 tsp
Sesame oil as required

Method

Wash the leeks inbetween the leaves then chop to 5cm pieces.

Cut into fine strips and cut the ham to match.

Place the leeks in bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Wrap with cling film and microwave for 2 minutes.

Mix with the ham and transfer to a gratin dish.

Mix together the dashi stock, sake and salt in a bowl and pour into the gratin dish

Top with the mozzarella cheese, grated Parmigiano reggiano and breadcrumbs. Drizzle with the sesame oil.

Bake in a preheated oven 230C for 10 minutes until nice and golden.
