Harry Potter Chicken

This is what I imagine the chicken they eat in the Harry Potter movies tastes like! Who doesn't like sweet and spicy chicken?! Please see my videos!

Ingredients

Chicken wings or drumsticks 1kg
Garlic 1 clove
Ginger 30g
Sake or dry white wine 3 tbsp
Soy sauce 5 tbsp
Chinese chilli bean sauce 1 tsp
Golden syrup or honey 2 tbsp
Salt & pepper a little

Method

Put the chicken in a bowl and rub well with the salt & pepper.

Peel the ginger and garlic and grate.

Add the ginger and garlic to the chicken. Add the sake, chilli bean sauce, soy sauce and golden syrup and rub well.

Keep for at least 1 hour or overnight.

Preheat the oven 200C.

Put some baking paper on an oven tray and put the marinaded chicken on top.

Roast for 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.

Tips & Note

The golden syrup works well to give a deep flavour and sweetness as well as a lovely glaze. Honey is just as good.
