Nice and Spicy Noodles Korean Style

Sweet and spicy and totally irresistible.

Ingredients

Your favourite noodles (wholewheat, etc) 100g
Vegetable side Namul:
Carrot 1
Sesame oil 1 tbsp
Crushed sesame seeds 1 tsp
Salt & pepper a little
Garlic (grated) as required
Beansprouts 1/2 pack
Sauce:
Gochujang 2 tbsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Light soy sauce 1 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Sesame oil 2 tbsp
Crushed sesame seeds 1 tsp

Method

Cut the carrot into fine strips and fry in a frying pan with some vegetable oil and a pinch of salt.

Remove the carrots into a large bowl and mix with some of the sesame oil, garlic, crushed sesame seeds and salt & pepper.

Put some salt in a pan of boiling water and cook the beansprouts for 1 minute and drain immediately in a colander. Mix with the remaining sesame oil, garlic, crushed sesame seeds and salt & pepper in a separate bowl.

Mix together all the sauce ingredients in a different large bowl.

Cook the noodles as per the packet instructions, then wash under cold running water. Drain and add into Step 4 and mix well.

Transfer Step 5 to a serving dish and serve with the vegetable namuls in Steps 2 & 3. It's ready to enjoy!

Tips & Note

●You can also make spinach or cucumber namuls
●For more of a main dish, you can stir fry thin strips of beef an add it in
