Kohlrabi & Bacon Pasta

The mild kohlrabi doesn't interfere with other flavours, and it's also delicious when cooked. I added it to pasta this time to add crunchiness.

Ingredients

Kohlrabi 1
Bacon 100g
Garlic 1 clove
Oolive oil 1 tbsp
Salt & pepper a little
Chilli as you like
Linguine 200g

Method

Peel the kohlrabi and cut into quarters, then slice into 5mm thick strips. Chop the bacon into 5mm thick pieces.

Cook the pasta.

Put oil and smashed garlic in a frying pan and fry on low heat.

After 2-3 minutes, add the bacon and fry for 5 minutes until crisp.

Add the kohlrabi and chilli (if you like) and cook for 5 minutes.

Drain the pasta and add to the frying pan. Mix well and season with salt & pepper before serving.

Tips & Note

Cook the bacon crisply but the kohlrabi lightly - this will make a perfect dish.
