Quick and Easy Grilled Eel with Sauce

This sauce is almost as good as the traditional authentic one.

Recipe By: Purihirunesan (https://cookbuzz.com/kitchen/56)
Serves 2

Ingredients

Grilled Eel 1
Soy sauce 1 tbsp
Maple syrup 1 tbsp

Method

1
If you can, buy a ready shop bought grilled eel. If not, start by cutting a fresh one in half lengthways and removing the bone.
2
Put under a hot grill for a short time.
3
In Japan, connoisseurs cook eel similarly but over charcoal.
4
Turn the eel over and grill for another 5 minutes.
5
Mix together the maple syrup and soy sauce. You can brush with the sauce whilst it's grilling but this is a bit messy, so it's better to brush with the sauce after it's grilled.
