Fried Salted Leeks with Garlic Chips

Cooked leeks become so sweet and delicious. All they need is seasoning with salt & pepper.

Ingredients

Leeks 100g
Garlic 1 clove
Olive oil 1.5 tbsp
Salt as required
Pepper as required
Fresh red chilli (optional) as required

Method

Cut the leek into diagonal slices, finely slice the garlic.

Put the oil in a frying pan and fry the garlic on medium heat until crispy. Remove to a plate.

In the same pan, add the leeks and stir fry until softened. Season to taste with salt & pepper.

Transfer to a serving dish and top with the garlic chips and finely sliced red chilli if you like.

Tips & Note

Take care not to burn the garlic, so keep stir frying on medium heat.
