Matcha Flavour Cream Cheese Tart

Ingredients

Puff pastry 1
Matcha powder 1.5 tsp
Water (to dissolve the matcha) 5 tsp
Eggs 2
Granulated sugar 80g
Self raising flour 2.5 tbsp
Vanilla extract 1 tsp
Cream cheese 180g
Double cream 140ml
Icing sugar (optional) as you like

Method

Dissolve the matcha powder in the water.

Put the eggs, sugar, self-raising flour and vanilla extract in a bowl and mix well with a hand blender.

Add the dissolved matcha from Step 1, the cream cheese and double cream and mix well again with a hand blender.

Divide the rolled up puff pastry into 12 slices and press each down flat to the size that fits comfortably in a muffin tray.

Once you line each hollow in the muffin tin with the puff pastry, pour in the cream cheese mixture from Step 3.

Bake in an oven preheated to 180 ℃ for 25 to 30 minutes.

Leave it to cool until still warm and serve dusted with some icing sugar. It will still be delicious if you cool it completely in the refrigerator.
