Izakaya-Style Broccoli with Wasabi-Mayonnaise Sauce

Make your usual broccoli side dish in this typical Izakaya way.

Ingredients

Broccoli 100g
Sesame seeds 1/2 tbsp
Shredded nori 2 pinches
Mayonnaise 1 tbsp
Wasabi 1/2 tsp or as much as you like
Soy sauce 1/2 tsp

Method

Remove the centre core of the broccoli. Break into florets and boil in salted water for 2 and a half minutes.

Put the cooked broccoli in a bowl and add the mayonnaise, wasabi and soy sauce and mix.

Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with the shredded nori and sesame seeds on top.

Tips & Note

Don't boil the broccoli too long, it needs to remain crisp.
