Delicious Seaweedy Miso Soup

Ingredients

Onion 1/2
Butter 1 tsp
Ginger 10 pence size
Hot water 500ml
Dashi stock granules 1/2 tsp
Miso 35-40g
Nori seaweed sheets 2
Sesame seeds as required

Method

Put the butter in a pan and add the chopped shredded onions and shredded ginger. Stir fry for 2 minutes on high heat.

Pour in the hot water and dashi and boil for 3 minutes. Turn the heat down to low and dissolve in the miso. Add the nori seaweed sheets as they are and leave for 1 minute.

Pile the onion and nori high in a soup dish, then pour the soup around. Sprinkle with as many sesame seeds as you like and enjoy the irresistible umami flavour.
