How to Make Star Wars Aliens

In Japan, it's called Octopus Sausage (taco-wiener). British people are probably not so fond of octopus so I've called them Star Wars aliens.

Makes 8 Cook: 10 min

Ingredients

Arabiki sausages (frozen) 4
Skewer 1
Hot water as required

Method

1
Here are the Arabiki sausages made by Nippon Ham - they're also available in the UK. They're delicious and firm.
2
Cut the sausages in half then each half into 8, cutting upwards from the end but not all the way up.
3
Put some water in a frying pan and skewer each sausage half and press down for 20-30 seconds to splay out the ends.
4
This is how they should look - add sesame seed eyes if you like!
5
You could add into miso soup to light up a dining table full of kids. See the recipe here.

Tips & Note

You can buy Arabiki sausages here but easier alternatives are whole chipolatas cut in half or frankfurter ends.
