Makes 5 Prep: 15 min Cook: 7 min

Ingredients

Chicken wings 5
Salt 2 pinches
Pepper 3 pinches
Ginger 1 thumb
Garlic 1 clove
Chicken stock granules 1 tsp
Potato starch as required
Vegetable oil for frying as required
Sweet chilli sauce (shop bought) as you like
Mayonnaise as you like

Method

1
Cut off the bottom part of the chicken wings, you will only use this part.
2
Remove any sinews with scissors and clean up both ends.
3
Turn them inside out so the bone is on the outside.
4
Put the salt & pepper, grated ginger and garlic, chicken stock and chicken wings in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
5
Dredge with lots of potato starch to cover all the parts to avoid them burning.
6
Deep fry in hot oil 180C for 4-5 minutes. Drain the oil and transfer to a serving dish and enjoy while it's hot!
7
I also made a soy sauce version.

8
Don't waste the other parts of the chicken wings, try this recipe.

Tips & Note

Some Thai sweet chilli sauce or mayonnaise with chilli powder goes really well with these. Chicken wings are relatively cheap to buy and so juice and delicious, we ought to use them more!
