Smoked Mackerel Pate

Blend the mackerel to make an instant pate. Delicious when spread on toast. Traditional pates use butter but this time I used cream cheese which makes it much milder.

Smoked mackerel 100g
Cream cheese 3 tbsp
Horseradish sauce 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 1/2
Lemon zest 1 tsp
Parsley 2-3 tbsp
Pepper a little

Method

Here are the ingredients. Flake the mackerel.

Put all the ingredients into a blender and mix to your preferred consistency.

It's ready! Serve alongside some toast.

Tips & Note

I used mascarpone cheese this time, but you can use your favourite. For a more refreshing taste, use ricotta or cottage cheese.
You could also use Dijon mustard instead of horseradish.
