Serves 1 Prep: 8 min Cook: 15 min

Ingredients

Cooked rice for 1
Gouda cheese 50g
Pickled plum (umeboshi) 1
Vegetable oil a little

Method

1
Dice the cheese into 7-8mm square. Remove the stone from the pickled plum and finely chop.
2
Warm up the rice in a microwave and mix with the diced cheese and chopped plum.
3
Divide into four flattened rice balls.
4
Put the oil in a frying pan and start to fry the rice balls. With a wet fish slice, press down lightly onto each on both sides until nicely browned.

Tips & Note

●During Step 4, the cheese will start to melt so it might go our of shape. Keep pressing with the fish slice to maintain the shape. Any escaping cheese will go nice and brown and give it a better taste.
●Also tasty if you wrap in a nori sheet.
