Creamy Pasta With Cod Roe

The tinned cod roe is quite large, so this is another way to use this wonderful ingredient. It goes well with pasta, try it and see.

Serves 2 Prep: 10 min Cook: 10 min

Ingredients

Long pasta for 2 people
Cod roe (200g tinned) 1/3
Milk 50ml
Creme Fraiche 1 large tbsp
Cayenne pepper 1/2 tsp
Dashi broth (concentrated) 1 tbsp
Anchovy paste 1 tsp
Parsley as you like
Nori seaweed as you like

Method

1
This is the 200g Princes Pressed Cod Roe that I used 1/3 of, for 2 people.
2
Start cooking your pasta. Finely chop the parsley and nori seaweed (if you like it).
3
Put the milk into a jug and microwave for about 30 seconds (600W).
4
たらこ、クレームフレッシュ、一味か七味、濃縮出汁つゆ、アンチョビペーストを用意し、(温めた)牛乳と混ぜる。
5
When the pasta is ready, mix well with the creamy sauce and sprinkle over with the parsley and nori seaweed. The sauce is quite creamy, so it's better to have pasta al dente.

Tips & Note

If you like a stronger sauce, add more dashi broth and cram and less milk. Or, if you prefer a lighter sauce, do it vice versa. Adding milk and creme fraiche dilutes the flavour of the cod roe, so that's why I added the anchovy paste.
