Serves 2 Prep: 10 min Cook: 15 min

Ingredients

Swede (small) 1
Green beans 4
Prawns as required
Dashi broth or Chinese soup 1 cup
Soy sauce 1 tsp
Mirin 1 tsp
Potato starch 2 tsp

Method

1
Peel the swede and slice to 1cm thick rounds. Boil the green beans.
2
Put the vegetable oil on a griddle pan (or frying pan). Drizzle the swede slices with oil and place on the griddle on low heat.
3
Put the dashi broth, soy sauce and mirin into a small pan. When it boils, add the prawns.
4
Add the potato starch in a bit of water to thicken the sauce. Add the diagonally sliced green beans.
5
Pour Step 4 over the griddled swede, it's ready to serve.

Tips & Note

●You can slice the swede to your favourite thickness, but it might take longer to cook if it's thicker.
●Cooking the swede at Step 2 very slowly makes the swede very much sweeter.
