Waffles

I made this to celebrate my brand new non-stick waffle maker. It's exactly that!

Recipe By: Tobuchan (https://cookbuzz.com/kitchen/25)
Serves 6 Prep: 15 min Cook: 30 min

Ingredients

Self raising flour 200g
Granulated sugar 80g
Salt 1 pinch
Baking powder 1/2 tbsp
Egg 1
Butter 45g
Milk 200ml
Vanilla extract 1 tsp

Method

1
I bought this waffle maker based on a good review on Amazon (£19.72). It really is non-stick.
2
Add the ingredients from the top to the bottom in order into a bowl and stir well.
3
Preheat the waffle maker on a medium heat on the cooker top. Drop a heaped tbsp of the batter onto each waffle half and close.
4
Cook for 2 minutes, then turn the waffle maker over.
5
Cook for a further 2.5 minutes, it's ready. You can check it whilst it's cooking to see if it's ready.
6
Repeat until the batter is used up, about 12 waffles of 10cm diameter.

Tips & Note

It's delicious eating it as it is, but is nicer with vanilla ice cream on top.

Aubergine (eggplant) and miso are a match made in heaven. Cooking thick sliced of aubergine is a bit of hassle, but with a microwave, it's done in 3 minutes. All that's left is to stir fly it with the miso sauce. Translated by Chat GPT
