Serves 4
Minced beef | 200g |
Pork sausages (removed from the skin) | 2 |
Garlic (finely chopped) | 1-2 cloves |
Parsley (finely chopped) | 1 tbsp |
Beaten egg | 1 |
Breadcrumbs | 2 tbsp |
Cream | 2 tbsp |
Salt & pepper | as required |
Tomato sauce | 500ml |
Beef or chicken stock | 200ml |
Yogurt or milk | 1 tbsp |
Adding the sausagemeat to the mince is a good idea because the sausage is already seasoned. It also helps to combine the ingredients together. The yogurt or milk is there to make the sauce a bit smoother, but don't add cream in the sauce instead as this will be a bit too rich and the flavour will change.
