Serves 1 Cook: 10 min

Ingredients

Beef (sirloin or ribeye) 120-150g
Onion 1/4
Carrot 1/4
Spring onions 2
Soy sauce 2 tbsp
Sake (or white wine) 2 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Ginger 1 thumb
Garlic 1 clove
Sesame oil 2 tbsp
Soy sauce (to finish) 1 tsp
Sesame seeds optional

Method

1
This is everything I need. If you want to make two helpings, double the ingredients. The sauce is OK as it is! The meat I used this time was ribeye steak.
2
Shred the meat (try not to slice your fingers).
3
Cut the onions into wedges. Cut the carrot into small strips. Grate the ginger and garlic.
4
Put the meat and vegetables, ginger and garlic in a bowl, add the soy sauce, sake, sugar, and finally sesame oil and mix well by hand.
5
Turn on the frying pan (medium heat) and when it gets warm, add the mixture from Step 4 as it is and cook. Since it contains sesame oil, it is OK without extra oil.
6
When the colour of the meat changes, add the chopped spring onions and 1 teaspoon of soy sauce. Sprinkle over the white sesame seeds.
7
Fry for about 3 minutes and you're done. You can wrap it in round lettuce leaves.

Tips & Note

It's also delicious with pork.
