Miso Soup with Gyoza Dumplings

Using frozen dumplings, you'll have a delicious miso soup in no time.

Ingredients

Hot water 300ml
Miso (red or mixed) 20g
Dashi stock granules 1/3 tsp
Onion 1/4
Carrot (small) 1
Frozen gyoza dumplings 3
Spring onion 1/4
chilli oil (optional) as you like

Method

Boil the hot water in a pan and add the thinly sliced carrots and onions. After 5 minutes turn the heat down to medium.

Add the miso through a strainer so it doesn't form lumps and mix well. Add the frozen dumplings.

Check for seasoning then transfer to a serving bowl or cup or mug and sprinkle with the finely chopped spring onions. If you like, top with a drizzle of chilli oil!
