Smoked Salmon Batella Sushi

Ingredients

Cooked rice for 1
Sushi vinegar 4 tbsp
Smoked Salmon slices 6

Method

I used this smoked salmon for sandwiches slices.

Let's make the sushi rice. I used ready bought sushi vinegar to make my job easier. Adjust to your taste.

Place 3 salmon slices in the bottom of a batella mould.

Top with half of the sushi rice and close the lid. Press firmly.

When you remove the lid and the outer part, it will look like this.

Cut into 6 equal slices with a wet knife. Serve with some wasabi and pickled ginger (gari). You can make two lots with 1 gou rice (150g uncooked rice).

Tips & Note

●If you don't have a batella mould, put some cling film on a chopping board and place the ingredients longways and use the cling film to press it down firmly to make a tube
