Plaice Bites in a Sweet & Spicy Sauce

Ingredients

Plaice fillets 2
Cornflour or potato starch as required
Sauce:
Sweet chilli sauce 2 tbsp
Soy sauce 2 tbsp
White wine or sake 1 tbsp

Method

Remove the bones from the plaice and cut to bitesize pieces. Dredge with the cornflour, it's easiest to put in a ziploc bag and shake gently.

Put lots of oil in a frying pan and heat.

Add the plaice and shallow fry until nice and crispy. Try not to move or break the fish.

Turn the fish over and put the lid on for 3 minutes.

Mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl and add to the frying pan. Mix well but gently to coat evenly.
