Chinese Leaves and Pork Belly in a Spicy Mayonnaise Sauce

Pork and Chinese leaves make a great combination, you can't fail!

Ingredients

Chinese leaves bunch 1/3
Pork belly 150g
Sake 2 tbsp
Salt as required
Garlic 2 cloves
Sauce:
Chilli sauce 2 tbsp
Crushed sesame seeds 1-2 tbsp
Mayonnaise 2-3 tbsp
Lemon juice 1/2

Method

Cut the Chinese leaves to bitesize pieces and thinly slice the pork belly.

Boil some water and add the sake and salt. Add the Chinese leaves, boil lightly then drain.

Turn the heat down to low and add the pork belly. Boil lightly and drain.

Add some oil to a small pan and make garlic chips: fry the finely sliced garlic until brown.

Remove the garlic and drain on kitchen paper. Sprinkle with salt.

Mix all the sauce ingredients together in a large bowl. Add the cooked Chinese leaves and pork belly and mix.

Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with garlic chips on top.
