Oven Baked Plaice with Lemon Butter Sauce

I often make this for our fishmonger staff at lunchtime. We only have a short lunch break, so this works well!

Ingredients

Potatoes 400g
Mushrooms 100-150g
Plaice fillets 4
Butter 1 tsp
Lemon juice a little
Salt & pepper as required
Olive oil as required

Method

Season the plaice on both sides with salt & pepper.

Cut the potatoes into 3mm slices and place in an oven dish.

Roll up the plaice fillets skin side outside and place on top of the potatoes.

Place the sliced mushrooms inbetween the plaice rolls.

Drizzle some olive oil over evenly (you can use spray oil if you have it).

Put into a preheated oven 180C for 15-20 minutes.

It looks like this when it's ready.

Put the butter in a small pan on medium heat and squeeze in the lemon juice. Pour over the dish from Step 7 before serving.

Tips & Note

I served it this time with some cabbage on the side.
